Anne’s Story
After the death of her mother, Anne moved to Mwene-Ditu where she has been living with her father and step mother. A few months later, as daddy lost his job life became unbearable for the step mother who decided to get to the bottom of the misery as if it’s not common for a husband to lose a job.
She decided to visit a “prophet” from a newly started revival church in the town who could tell them why they had to go through all they were going through. Because the “prophet” can see the unseen, he found out the cause and source of their hardship was Anne: she is witch and has come in the house with one mission to eliminate her and her beloved husband and, he carried on, if actions were not taken immediately the situation will get to a point of no return.
The beloved husband was left with no other choice than chasing away Anne to obey God's servant commandment. After being beaten almost to death, Anne was thrown away and became homeless before being taken to the Orphanage.
Anne has always dreamed to become a fashion designer, the circumstances she went through were not enough to take her desire away. This is what drove Sr Mado to get her a sewing machine. Now she is the one sewing clothes for other children like her in the orphanage.
You can help bring back the faded dreams of a young girl to life again by sponsoring Anne’s education by giving as little as €30 and month.
Kabe’s Story
Kabe is 16 and is from Eastern Congo where he was forced to leave his village by the ongoing war when he was only 5.
On the way his parents and other people were slaughtered by the militia, brothers & sisters and other people taken away women and girls to be sex slaves, boys to become soldiers. His tears were not enough to bring back his loved ones.
Thanks God he was lucky enough to be left alive and not taken away like many other children and from there on he has to learn to be master of his own destiny. He had to make her way to find refuge and shelter.
After several miles and foot out in the cold of the night and hot of the day among few other survivors, he found himself in Mwene-Ditu with no relatives to help and nowhere to go. He was picked up from the Streets by sister Mado who brought him to the orphanage where Kabe could finally find shelter. He remember his mother telling him you will be a doctor to save the whole village, before the unseen visited them fading away all dreams.
Despite all that he still wants to fulfil his mother’s prophecy by trying as hard as he can to learn no matter what comes. You can help bring back the faded dreams of a young boy to live again by sponsoring Kabe’s education by giving as little as €30 and month.
